About Us

Campuser.net is an online social resource mainly geared towards university students in Uganda.
Our aim is to facilitate communication, interaction and networking between the said university students and people of all ages in and around Uganda.

Campuser.net is managed by Campuser.net (U) Limited.
Our offices are at Plot 80 Kanjokya Street in Kamwokya, Kampala - along with our sister company SMS Media (U) Limited.

Campuser.net was founded, designed and launched in mid-2006 by Tendo K. Miti, who was at that time a second year Bachelor of Statistics (Computing Option) student at Makerere University, Kampala.
He is currently the Managing Director of Campuser.net (U) Limited.

Our Privacy Policy

Below is a brief description of how Campuser.net uses the personal information you submit to it and how the site behaves as you browse it.

Campuser.net will NOT disclose your Name, E-mail Address or Phone Number anyone except yourself after verification. Other information you provide (such as your gender, hobbies and interests in the Directory) is availed at the site so as to meet the purpose for which it was provided (in this case, to avail your profile to others who may be interested in your acquaintance). If you do not wish to show this other information to others as well, please disable your profile. You also have the option of excluding your profile from Directory Search Results.

Campuser.net uses session authentication. Please note that only ONE account holder can be logged into Campuser.net at any given time on a given computer from a given browser. Attempts to login another user without logging out a currently logged in user will result in automatic logging out of the initial user.

Free services (like the Free SMS) are provided "as is" and we therefore cannot assume any responsibility for the malfunction, failure to function or other such behaviour that may or may not result in any form of damage to the user.

Please be careful about how you provide your personal information to others while using services at Campuser.net such as the Directory. Any consequence as a result of your negligence is entirely your responsibility.

SMS Sender Tracking

If you experience any anonymous text messages of an abusive, threatening or otherwise indescent nature and you would like to find out who sent them, please contact us via the support e-mail address specified above and we will setup sender tracking for your number.
Please note that you have to submit a formal application for us to setup sender tracking. This is in accordance with the requirements as stipulated by the Uganda Police.

Forgotten Password

If you are having login problems or you think you have forgotten you password, please write to our support email address specified above. Include your user name and your full name for verification.

As of November 2007, passwords are encrypted in our database so we cannot retrieve them. This measure is to enhance the security of your account. We will therefore have to send you a temporary password which you can change to one you please later on.

A Few Notes

1. This site is best browsed at a screen resolution of at least 800×600 pixels and requires that Javascript and Cookie reception are enabled in your browser. We do not condone pop-ups!
2. If you experience visual/layout problems while browsing this site, make sure your browser can parse XHTML Transitional 1.0. We recommend Internet Explorer 7 or higher and Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or higher.
